J. Michael Pinson is founder and president of Mike Pinson's Aircraft Sales, an international aircraft sales company. He is a professor of American history at the University of Central Texas as well as executive director and founder of Aldersgate Enrichment Center, a residential facility providing Christian counseling and employment for adults with mental and physical disabilities.

Pinson is a graduate of Kentucky Military Institute and Marshall University. He received his master's degree in history from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Pinson spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1981. His last position in the military was chief of staff, 2nd Armored Division. He is currently chairman of the Staff Parish Relationships Committee for his church, and has served as president of the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce, Killeen Crime Stoppers, and Sons of the American Revolution.

Pinson joined the Rotary Club of Killeen, Texas, in 1981, then became a charter member of the Rotary Club of Killeen-Heights, which he helped form. He has served as district governor, national adviser to The Rotary Foundation's Permanent Fund, and North American chairman of the New Generations Task Force. Rotarian Pinson has been an International Assembly training leader, zone institute trainer, and chief sergeant-at-arms at several RI Conventions. He served as director on the Rotary International Board of Directors 2002-2004. He has received the Service Above Self Award and the Citation for Meritorious Service. Mike and his wife, Mary, are Paul Harris Fellows, Benefactors, and Major Donors to The Rotary Foundation.
